Segunda perspectiva de la serie de Akhetaten/Tell el-Amarna, trabajo final del curso de reconstrucción de ciudades con @koreformacion .

Construida en la ribera oriental del río Nilo durante el quinto año de reinado del faraón Akhenatón, convirtiéndose así en la nueva capital. Su construcción 'exnovo' duró alrededor de 4 años realizándose en adobe y cal para aligerar el proceso. Levantada para escenificar los cambios al nuevo culto al dios Atón, lo que provocó tensiones con los sacerdotes y seguidores de Amón.

El nombre de la ciudad, Akhetaten, hace referencia al 'asiento del primer ocaso' es, el horizonte de Atón.

En esta imagen se puede observar la llamada ciudad central o ciudad principal, que incluye a la gran mayoría de edificios religiosos y administrativos.

Second perspective of the Akhetaten/Tell el-Amarna series.

Built on the eastern bank of the Nile River during the fifth year of Pharaoh Akhenaten's reign, thus becoming the new capital. Its construction 'exnovo' lasted about 4 years and was made of adobe and lime to lighten the process. It was erected to stage the changes to the new cult of the god Aten, which caused tensions with the priests and followers of Amun.

The name of the city, Akhetaten, refers to the 'seat of the first sunset', that is, the horizon of Aten.

In this image you can see the so-called central city or main city, which includes the vast majority of religious and administrative buildings.
